DETAILS
D1 - The Competition Organizers and Sponsors are COMIX35, New Life Literature Asia/USA, and NEXT.
D2 - Entrants do not need to pay any submission fee to enter the Competition.
D3 - Prizes include signed copies of "Manga Messiah" in English, Japanese & Spanish and signed copies of "Manga Metamorphosis" and "Manga Mutiny" in Japanese.
D4 - Videos of 30 to 60 seconds maximum are recommended, but any length will be accepted.
D5 - The Competition is open to anyone of legal age, anywhere in the world, who is capable of creating a video, either professional or amateur. ("Legal age" means the age at which persons are considered legally competent to manage their own affairs both in their own country and under U.S. law.)
D6 - To receive a login, password and link to the authorized images, Entrants should send an e-mail to the address found at the bottom of the Short Entry Form. By logging in and downloading any images from the NEXT web site, Entrants acknowledge that they are entering into a legal agreement with NEXT to only use these images for the creation of videos for the 2008 "Manga Messiah" Video Competition and not for any other purpose.
D7 - Competition Judges from Japan will choose all Competition Winners. The exact number of winners will be determined by the quantity and quality of submissions.
D8 - Competition Winners will be notified directly, and the winning videos will be announced both on this web site and the NEXT web site. Prizes will be sent to Competition Winners within 3-4 weeks of the web site announcement.
D9 - Entrants agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the Competition Organizers & Sponsors and Competition Judges harmless from any and all claims, suits, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses, attorney's fees, judgments and other legal responsibilities, monetary or otherwise, suffered or incurred as a result of any claim of copyright or trademark infringement by a third party made against any part of their video submission including the accompanying music and audio soundtrack.
D10 - The accompanying music and audio soundtrack must be [1] entirely and without condition the Entrant's own original creation and not contain any material which may infringe on any other copyright or trademark, or [2] if any element, or elements, of the entry's audio track (including, but not limited to, the music composition, music recording, sound samples, music samples, voice effects, sound effects) are not fully original creations of the entrant, all responsibility for procuring the necessary worldwide licensing (including, but not limited to, synchronization, mechanical, master use, internet transmission) is fully with the Entrant. All Entrants assume complete responsibility for any accompanying music and audio soundtrack in their entry.
D11 - The Competition Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry, at their discretion and without explanation, at any time during the Competition.
D12 - The Competition Organizers reserve the right to withhold the awarding of prizes if they and the Competition Judges determine that no submitted video meets the Competition requirements.
